Yura to build fourth factory in Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister of Economy and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic and representatives from South Korean Yura Corporation yesterday signed an agreement on the construction of the fourth Yura factory in Serbia, in which €13 million will be invested.

At the signing of the agreement in Leskovac today, Kalanovic stressed that the factory will employ 1,500 workers, adding that the agreement is a great step forward that will enable Leskovac to once again become a developed industrial town where people are employed and live off their work.
She underlined that this is the largest investment in Leskovac in the previous period and thanks to it, many young people will remain in southern Serbia.
The opening of Yura’s fourth factory in Serbia shows great confidence of Yura in the policy conducted by the Serbian government through political stability and creating favourable economic environment, she said.
Mayor of Leskovac Slobodan Kocic said that it is a very important investment, given the reputation of the investor and the benefits that the city will have in the future as it will employ a large number of employees and create quality jobs.
Yura Corporation is a South Korean corporation that manufactures electronic components for automotive industry.
The corporation is divided into three divisions: Yura Harness (cable installations), Yura Eltec (cables and components installations), Yura Tech (spark plugs and coils). The largest of them, Yura Harness, has factories in Serbia.
