The Special Forces of the Police of Kosovo were sent to the Northern part of Kosovo during the morning hours. Nearly 40 vehicles of the “RUSO” Special Forces reached the North. One day before, EULEX informed that during the investigation that was carried in the North of Kosovo, they have been able to identify the responsible people for the events of July 25 in this area.

The Special Forces of the Police of Kosovo were sent to the Northern part of Kosovo during the morning hours. Nearly 40 vehicles of the “RUSO” Special Forces reached the North.

It was unofficially informed that they are looking for the person who murdered police officer Enver Zymberi and the persons who set fire to the border checkpoint of Jarinja on July 26.

Their presence in the Northern part of Kosovo was also confirmed by the State Secretary in the Serb Ministry for Kosovo, Oliver Ivanovic, who confirmed the immediate return of barricades in the streets.

The Police of Kosovo did not give any details, but Minister Bajram Rexhepi declared for the media that they are only making a rehearsal, nothing else.

Meanwhile, after meeting with his Croatian homologue, Jadranka Kosor, Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said that the Kosovo government’s decision to keep all security forces on service is still on power.

“The illegal structures in the North will dissolve; those who have infringed the law will face justice and there will be no compromises in this direction. There will be zero tolerance toward those who have infringed the law. Of course, KFOR and the Police of Kosovo will exercise its control all around the territory of Kosovo. KFOR will exercise its control through the authority provided by Resolution 1244, and other authorities will use their constitutional and legal authorities. The decision of the Kosovo government to keep all security forces on service is still on power,” said Thaci.
