During the second day of its visit to Angola, a Serbian delegation headed by Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac will visit the Military Hospital, the Military-Technical Institute, the National War College, and the Commands of the Army and Naval Operations.

Sutanovac stated that training of soldiers and construction of military infrastructure are the main priorities of the bilateral cooperation. He said that the goal of the two-day visit to Angola is strengthening of the two countries' friendly relations, Angpop news agency reported.

This is a friendly visit and I hope that its results will be of great importance for both countries, Sutanovac said. Delegation was received by Angola's President Jose Eduardo dos Santos and Parliament Speaker Antonio Paulo Kassoma.

Sutanovac presented greetings to Kassoma from his Serbian counterpart Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. He recalled that many Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) officers were trained in academies of the former Yugoslavia, and added that there is a wish to resume this process.

The Serbian delegation conferred with their Angolan counterparts headed by Defence Minister Candido Van-Dunem. Candido Van-Dunem said that Angola always was and always be ready for promotion of the friendly relations with Serbia, adding that this is a traditional cooperation.

These are relations that are immune to all political, social and economic changes happening not only in our countries, but also in the entire world, he said. Sutanovac laid a wreath on the monument erected in the memory of the first president of Angola, Antonio Agostinho Neto, in Luanda.
