First Turkish film festival in Belgrade

The festival will showcase seven films from Turkish directors Ilksen Basarir, Yuksel Aksu, Abdullah Oguz, Zagan Irmak, Yusuf Kurcenli, Reha Erdem, and Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

The first Festival of Turkish Film in Belgrade will open Wednesday night at the Yugoslav Film Archive with a screening of the romantic drama Love in Another Language.

Until October 22, fans of Turkish cinema will be able to enjoy contemporary works of Turkish directors.

The festival is organized by the Culture and Tourism Office of the Turkish Embassy in Belgrade.

The festival will showcase seven films from Turkish directors Ilksen Basarir, Yuksel Aksu, Abdullah Oguz, Zagan Irmak, Yusuf Kurcenli, Reha Erdem, and Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

The organizers are hoping the popularity of Turkish TV soaps in Serbia will attract audiences to these award-winning films.

The program includes the comedy Ice Cream, I Scream, psychological drama Bliss, romantic drama Ask Your Heart, and dramas A Run for Money, My Father and My Son, and Three Monkeys.
