The situation in Kosovo was peaceful last night, no KFOR movements have been noticed, and the Serbs spent the night at the barricades.

The largest number of citizens spent the night at the barricades in the villages of Jagnjenica and Zupce, Zubin Potok municipality, where KFOR units have been present for several days, trying to penetrate the roadblock.

The citizens from other parts of northern Kosovo joined the Zubin Potok inhabitants at the barricades last night.

The citizens also stood watch on other barricades in this part of Kosovo, in the municipalities of Leposavic, Zvecan and Kosovska Mitrovica.

Like every Wednesday in the past month, a coordination meeting with the representatives of international missions will be held in Zvecan Municipal Assembly building at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The meeting will not be attended by KFOR Commander Erhard Drews, his spokesman Uwe Nowicki told Tanjug, adding that the meeting, like the ones before, will be held at a normal working level.

Nowicki recalled that KFOR's position is unconditional freedom of movement for all citizens and international missions, adding that it is envisaged by KFOR's mandate, as well as international documents referring to the presence of international force in Kosovo.

In a letter to Commander Drews, the municipal presidents expressed readiness to enable the freedom of movement to KFOR for supplying its units, and pointed out that details can be arranged at the coordination meeting, or another one that would be scheduled by KFOR.

As for EULEX, the municipal presidents from northern Kosovo stressed on Tuesday that the mission is requested to give guarantee they will not transport Kosovo customs officers, or work on the establishment of Kosovo institutions in this part of Kosovo.
