In a meeting with KFOR commanders on Oct. 26, representatives of four Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo proposed to clear for traffic "one lane on certain roads" to enable the supply of international forces at the administrative checkpoints Brnjak and Jarinje.
"The plan will be implemented as of 9 a.m. on Oct. 27 and envisages the freeing of one traffic lane on certain roads," read a statement by chiefs of four municipalities in northern Kosovo - Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Kosovska Mitrovica.
The chiefs stressed that they expect the problems concerning the functioning of EULEX in northern Kosovo to be discussed between EULEX representatives and the Serbian government and other bodies.
Serbs erected barricades near Jagnjenica and Zupce in the Zubin Potok municipality, on the main bridge on the Ibar River in Kosovska Mitrovica, in Zvecan near Rudare and on the access road to Leposavic. There are no barricades at the administrative checkpoints Jarinje and Brnjak as it is a broader zone of KFOR's responsibility.
