Split police are searching for four men, who, after the handball game between Croatia and Serbia, broke into a club of the Serb national minority in the center of the city, attacked three men and caused minor material damage.

The Split-Dalmatia police administration said Saturday that the incident occurred Friday around 10 pm, immediately after the handball match of Croatia and Serbia, which took place in the European Handball Championships in Belgrade.

Noone was injured in the incident, and the material damage is estimated at about EUR 264 euros, the police said.

The current President and former president of the City Council's Serb minority self-government Miroslav Jovicic and Semina Loncar condemned the event.

Jovicic condemned any vandalism, both in Serbia, and in Split.

What happened to us last night was an organized attack, not an isolated incident by hooligans, Jovicic said.
