Serbian Health Minister Zoran Stankovic announced on 30 April 2012 that a request for proposal (RFP) for the reconstruction of four clinical centers in Serbia, which should be finished until 2015, would be launched in May.
Stankovic said at a press conference in the Belgrade City Hall that the RFP would be pblished until the end of May in the Official Gazette of the European Union, the Official Gazette of Serbia and the newspaper Politika.
He pointed out that a proposal can be submitted by both domestic and foreign companies, stressing that the project Reconstruction of Four Clinical Centers in Serbia, worth EUR 200 million, would be financed from a loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the budget of Serbia.
That project, as he noted, represented the biggest investment in the Serbian health care in last 50 years.
The minister underlined that every portion of reconstruction works on clinical centers in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac would be transparent.
Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas stressed that the City of Belgrade would give its contribution to the reconstruction and participate in the regulation of access roads to the Clinical Center of Serbia, as well as in the work on the infrastructure and the site preparation.
