Some polling places in the region of Pristina, Kosovo, for the purpose of Serbia’s parliamentary and presidential elections, opened with a slightly over one hour delay since the OSCE convoy delivering the election material was late.

OSCE spokesperson Nikola Gaon stated that apart from this region, other polling stations in Kosovo opened on time. He reminded that the voting will take place at 90 polling stations marked with the OSCE flags.

The local police is in the immediate vicinity of polling places in order to maintain public order. The right to cast their ballots at the presidential and parliamentary elections in Kosovo can be exercised by 109.113 voters.

After the polling places close, the OSCE will transport the election material to Raska and Vranje where ballots will be counted.

Despite the opposition of the international community and the Serbian Government’s decision that local elections are not to be held in Kosovo, the local elections are however underway in Zvecan and Zubin Potok, in the north of the province.
