OSCE spokesman in Kosovo Nikola Gaon stated that all poling places for the parliamentary and presidential elections organised by the international mission in Kosovo closed by 10 p.m., except at polling stations in Partes and Strpce.
Voting places in Partes and Strpce are still open, and until all reports arrive, we cannot specify the turnout in the elections, Gaon said and underscored that the OSCE mission would issue a release about the turnout percentage.
According to the information received so far, the elections passed peacefully, without significant security problems which could have affected the course of the elections. A total of 110,000 citizens had the right to vote in the elections in Kosovo on Sunday.
OSCE's task was to ensure conditions for normal performance of the voting, while the votes would be counted in Raska and Vranje. Electoral rolls and all electoral materials were prepared by the Republic Electoral Commission and were transferred to Kosovo by OSCE vehicles protected by members of the Kosovo police.
