Air:
Most flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport will be running as scheduled on Wednesday, although unions have called for pickets to be manned around the airport. FRANCE 24 will update readers on the situation as it develops.

From 10 am, Toulouse, Nantes, Bordeaux and Clermont Ferrand regional airoprts were subject to blockades by protesters.

At Paris Orly airport, a quarter of flights (mostly short-haul) have been cancelled. Passengers are advised to contact the airlines concerned for more information.

Rail:

International:

EUROSTAR (To London): Normal service.
THALYS: Normal service.
TGV / LYRIA (to Switzerland): Normal service to Zurich, one train in two to Geneva and Lausanne, no trains to Berne.
ARTESIA (France-Italy): One Paris-Milan train running in the daytime.

National:

TGV: One in two running on average.
- From or to Paris: Three in four trains.
- Inter-province (avoiding Paris): One in two trains running.
CORAIL: Four in ten daytime trains running.
TÉOZ: One in two trains running on average.
TER: One in two trains running.

Paris region:

TRANSILIEN: Average of three in five trains running during rush hour.

The strike is expected to affect transport services in several French cities from October 12 to 30. Expect delays and cancellations for subway trains, buses and regional rail in:

Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Nantes, Montpellier, Grenoble
