Tourist attractions the Eiffel Tower and Tour Montparnasse were evacuated on Friday evening after hoax bomb calls, police said Saturday.

Two tourist attractions in Paris were evacuated after police received two calls from a public booth, AFP reported.

Around 1,700 people were evacuated from the Eiffel Tower and around 300 people evacuated the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper.

The bomb disposal experts found no trace of explosives.

It was the third time in previous few months that the Eiffel Tower had been the target of a bomb hoax.
