One of the biggest police actions in BiH conducted in Krajna

In the area of Bihac, Cazin and Velika Kladusa over 40 facilities were searched on Saturday and several persons arrested, most of the being active police officers.

One of the biggest joint police actions in BiH was conducted in the region of Bosnian Krajina on Saturday.

It is called “Kastel” and it is lead and coordinated by Head State Prosecutor Miroslav Barasin, and it is conducted in Bihac, Cazin, Bosanska Krupa, Bosanski Petrovac and Velika Kladusa, State Prosecutor’s Office announced on Saturday.

In the area of Bihac, Cazin and Velika Kladusa over 40 facilities were searched on Saturday and several persons arrested, most of the being active police officers.

The goal of the action is revealing and criminal processing of persons suspected of crime offence of organized crime regarding crime offence of misusing their position or authority, economic crime and bribing or accepting bribe, gifts or other forms of bribe.

Around 400 police officers from State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo, Zenica-Doboj and Srenja Bosna Canton and police of Brcko District are included in the action.

“Kastel” is a result of multi-month coordinated and thorough investigation conducted by the Special Department in Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for organized crime, economic crime and corruption.
