The new border stamps of the Schengen type are in use in border checkpoints starting March 3, the press service of the Ministry of Interior said.

The stamps comply with the resolutions of the Schengen Executive Committee and represent one of the key technical requirements for accession to the Area, the Interior Ministry explained.

Some of the visible changes in the new stamps include replacement of the double contour line with a single one; a change in the shape of arrows signifying entry into and exit from the country; a change of the unique codes of each border stamp.
