The Deputy Prime Minister for Investments Domagoj Milosevic has said that violent protests such as the one that took place in Zagreb on Saturday affect the investment climate negatively.
He added that this is unfortunate at a time when investors have started recognizing the results of Croatia's fight against corruption and as the country nears the European Union.
Predominately peaceful protests of Croatian independence war veterans turned violent past Saturday when a group of younger demonstrators joined by some football fans clashed with the police guarding government buildings on Zagreb's St. Mark's Square. Thirty three people were injured.
