Montenegro's Ministry for the Information Society and Telecommunications has announced that citizens can file requests for registration of free e-mail addresses on the mail.me domain.

According to a statement by the Ministry, the service was created in cooperation with the MNNews company and its main objective is to enable all Montenegrin citizens to obtain and use the e-mail address which will not be tied to the operator and which will, with a unique identification number, be their digital 'mailing address'.
