Dusko Lopandic has been appointed new assistant foreign minister, read an update on the Serbian government's website.

Dusko Lopandic has been appointed new assistant foreign minister, read an update on the Serbian government's website.

As one of five assistant foreign ministers, Lopandic will head up the European Union Sector. Lopandic was Serbia's ambassador to Portugal, and served on Yugoslavia's mission to the European Community in Brussels at the start of his career.

Lopandic was assistant minister for international economic relations and the national coordinator of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe.
