Ruzica Djindjic: Meeting with Merkel is sign of honour for Zoran

German Chancellor Angela Merkel met Chairwoman of the Zoran Djindjic Fund Managing Board Ruzica Djindjic and participants of the fund's internship programmes on Tuesday morning, and Djindjic said that this meeting is a sign of honour for the fund's efforts and for former prime minister Zoran Djindjic, who had the key role in promoting Serbia's EU future.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel met Chairwoman of the Zoran Djindjic Fund Managing Board Ruzica Djindjic and participants of the fund's internship programmes on Tuesday morning, and Djindjic said that this meeting is a sign of honour for the fund's efforts and for former prime minister Zoran Djindjic, who had the key role in promoting Serbia's EU future.

Djindjic said that Merkel informed her and participants of the Zoran Djindjic Fund internship programmes about the advantages of Serbia's EU future, stressing that this future implies countries without borders.

Djindjic said that the fact that this meeting was the first on her Belgrade agenda, is a sign of respect for her late husband, whose dream was a modern and European Serbia.

The meeting at the Hyatt Hotel was also attended by German Ambassador to Belgrade Wolfram Maas.
