IMF: Projected economic growth of Serbia – among the highest in the region

In their latest projections, the IMF assessed that the Serbian economy will grow by 1.5% this year, which is among the highest rate in the region, whereas in 2011 the growth should rise to 3%. In the spring projection, published in April, the IMF expected 2% economic growth in Serbia in 2010.

In the fall Report on world economic situation, which has been published today, the IMF assessed that the annual inflation rate in Serbia, measured by consumer price index, will be 4.6% this year, while in 2011, it should be reduced to 4.4%.
The report on the world economy has been published on the eve of the regular fall sitting of the IMF and its sister company World Bank in Washington from October 8 to 10.
