EIB grants EUR 250 mln loan for export, employment boost

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic stated Monday that the talks with the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the fourth installment of the Apex loan, amounting to EUR 250 million, are close to an end.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic stated Monday that the talks with the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the fourth installment of the Apex loan, amounting to EUR 250 million, are close to an end.
The fourth installment of the EIB loan, intended for the companies which are mainly export-oriented and tend to employ new workers, will be used for the purpose of export boost.
So far, it was discussed that Pirot-based corporation Tigar should be approved a loan for enlargement of footwear manufacturing capacities.
Moreover, the funds from the arrangement will be also used for the auto components industry and for the needs of the Serbian media, Djelic told Tanjug at the margins of the 10th Economic Summit of the Republic of Serbia.
The Serbian deputy prime minister recalled that the third installment of the Apex loan was used for promotion of companies' liquidity and export boost.
