Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac paid Monday working visit to Libya, where he discussed the military-economic cooperation between the two countrie.
Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac paid Monday working visit to Libya, where he discussed the military-economic cooperation between the two countries and the possibilities for its improvement and development with Libyan Prime Minister al-Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmoudi and country's Defense Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Abu Bakr Yunis, Serbian Ministry of Defense released on its site.
The meeting between the Serbian and Libyan defense ministers pointed to the significance of cooperation in the field of military development education and training, especially that referring to the Libyan cadets at the Belgrade Military Academy.
After the meeting with the Libyan officials it was concluded that there are great possibilities for the cooperation between the two states, not only regarding military collaboration, but also defense industry.
In June 2010, Sutanovac headed the Defense Ministry delegation which was in an official visit to Libya for the first time after 25 years, during which the two countries signed the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation.
