On Dec. 16, procedure will begin in the German federal parliament for the ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement between the EU and Serbia.

At the plenary session, MPs will only be informed about the draft of the relevant law, which the federal government has submitted to the parliament and which was approved for further procedure by the Upper House of Parliament.
According to information obtained by BETA, the final adoption of the law on the ratification of SAA with Serbia could take place as early as in February or March next year.
German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said that Germany continued its support of the integration of countries of this region with the EU, at last week's conference on the Western Balkans in Berlin, organized by the Aspen Institute, the German Marshall Fund and the German Foreign Ministry.
