Proposition to introduce a duty of 5 dinars per kg of wheat

The measure has been proposed with a view to attaining stability in that field, through the retainment of large quantities of wheat on the Serbian market pending the next harvest and the presentation of large quantities of wheat on the product exchange.
The Ministry of Trade and Services will submit to the Serbian government this month a proposition for the introduction of an export duty on wheat, amounting to 5 dinars per kilogram, in order to provide stability in wheat and flour supplies on the domestic market and decrease pressure on prices, Minister Slobodan Milosavljević told agency Tanjug.
The measure has been proposed with a view to attaining stability in that field, through the retainment of large quantities of wheat on the Serbian market pending the next harvest and the presentation of large quantities of wheat on the product exchange, he explained.
