According to latest data from the Public Health Institute, there are 1,748 registered flu cases in the country, with two flu-related deaths registered thus far.

According to Institute epidemiologist Gordana Kuzmanovska, majority of cases (632) have been reported in Skopje, followed by Kavadarci, Bitola, Prilep, Kumanovo etc.

Director of Skopje-based Clinic for Infective Diseases Zvonko Milenkovic stressed there have not been confirmed cases of the A(H1N1) influenza yet.

Jovanka Kostovska, chairperson of the Pandemic Flu Committee, said they are constantly monitoring flu developments in the country.
