Albanians in southern Serbia sign petition against Marty

Public petition-signing in Presevo and Bujanovac has been organised by the Association of Veterans of Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, which stated that Serbian state services are not interfering with the process.
Ethnic Albanians in the southern Serbian municipalities of Presevo and Bujanovac have started signing the petition drawn up as a response to the report authored by Council of Europe (CoE) Special Rapporteur Dick Marty, who charged the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and one of its leaders Hasim Taci with involvement in illegal human organ trafficking, the Pristina media reported on Thursday.
The signing of the petition was organised by the KLA Association of War Veterans.

Ethnic Albanians in the southern Serbian municipalities can sign the petition by January 15.
The signing of the petition was previously organised in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia.
When the petition-signing started early in January, organisations stemming from the KLA stated that Marty insulted the Albanian nation.
Once the signing is completed, the petition will be submitted to the CoE.
