The Kosovo Border Police took over the control of the border with Macedonia from NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR) on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by KFOR Commander Erhard Buehler, Kosovo's Interior Minister Bajram Redzepi, Macedonia's Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska and Deputy Head of the EU Mission in Kosovo Andy Sparks.
KFOR has been relinquishing border control to the Kosovo police in stages for a few years now. In April last year, the Kosovo police was given control of the border with Albania, which is 113 km long.
