The paper writes that PDK leader Hashim Thaçi will not have an easy time in finding partners for the new ruling coalition. Vetëvendosje, with 12.55% of the votes, has categorically refused any prospect of a coalition with PDK.

At the same time, LDK said if PDK invites them for talks on the new coalition, they will take part in the meetings and analyse the offer but according to Teuta Sahatçia, LDK continues to hold a clear stance that it won’t enter a coalition with PDK for the sake of the normal functioning of the country.

“The country needs a strong government and a strong opposition, therefore we are against a coalition with PDK, be it in a comprehensive or a broad-based government,” Sahatçia said.

AKR with 7.2% of the votes is not against the idea of joining a PDK coalition but insists its leader Behgjet Pacolli takes up the post of the Kosovo President.

AAK officials also said they would positively respond to the invitation for talks on the new government but have recently introduced their idea of a ruling coalition formula consisting of PDK-LDK-AAK.
