Serbia's Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic said Friday that based on the budget revenue in the last two months, she expects the total budget revenue in 2011 to exceed earlier forecasts by about RSD 10 billion.

"Based on these two months - December of last and January of this year - I can accurately predict the revenue in 2011," she said, adding that she is almost certain it will be "at least RSD 10 billion higher than planned."

Asked if income tax and contributions could be cut, the minister said that is not possible right now.

Reducing these fees would lessen the burden on employers and help curb the grey economy, but budget expenditures are fixed and do not change, Dragutinovic said, citing public sector salaries, pensions, social security payments and transfers to municipalities.
