Dacic with Diaspora representatives on investments in Serbia

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic has conferred with the representatives of the diaspora in Cleveland, the U.S. state of Ohio, on investments in Serbia and obtaining Serbian citizenship, the Serbian Interior Ministry released on Monday.

Dacic met with the diaspora representatives at a ceremonial dinner, when he presented Honorary Consul of Serbia to the State of Ohio Alex Machaskee with a silver plaque of the Serbian Interior Ministry. Apart from Machaskee, Department of State official and former U.S. Embassy Charge d'Affairs in Serbia Jennifer Brush was also a guest of honor at the dinner.

On Sunday, Dacic attended a liturgy in the St. Sava Church, Cleveland, and responded to questions of the diaspora representatives which included the issues of obtaining Serbian citizenship, corruption and investing in Serbia.

The meeting was addressed by Brush who expressed satisfaction that Dacic has visited her hometown, Cleveland. In the next few days, Dacic is scheduled to meet with the Cleveland mayor, police chief and the Ohio state prosecutor, the statement reads.
