The Serbian and Nigerian Defence Ministries signed an agreement on defence cooperation in Belgrade on Monday, which has opened possibilities for promotion of the military-economic cooperation between the two ministries and the two countries.
The Serbian and Nigerian Defence Ministries signed an agreement on defence cooperation in Belgrade on Monday, which has opened possibilities for promotion of the military-economic cooperation between the two ministries and the two countries.
The agreement was signed by the two countries' defence ministers, Dragan Sutanovac and Adetokunbo Kayode, who expressed satisfaction that the agreement has created conditions for the establishment of cooperation based on friendly and partner relations.
Sutanovac said that Nigeria is interested in purchasing weapons and military equipment and investment in joint projects, as well as cooperation in the areas of military health care and medicine.
He added that Serbia is particularly interested in experience exchange regarding participation in peacekeeping operations since Nigeria has considerable experience in such activities within the United Nations.
