The Serbian Statistical Office stated today that the overall foreign trade of Serbia in the period January–April 2012 reached $9,585.7 million, a 4.4% drop in relation to the same period last year.

Expressed in Euros, the foreign trade for this period was €7,296.7 million, which is a 0.9% increase in relation to the same period last year.
The value of the goods exported was $3,402.2 million, which is an 8.6% drop in relation to the same period last year, and of the goods imported $6,183.5 million, which is less by 1.9% than in the same period last year.
Export in Euros stood at €2,589.1 million, which is a reduction of 3.5% against the same period last year.
Import was €4,707.6 million, up 3.6% against the same period last year.
The deficit was $2,781.3 million, an increase of 7.8% against the same period last year. In Euros, it stood at 2,118.5 million, up 13.9% against the same period last year.
Export-to-import ratio was 55% and was lower than in the same period last year, when it stood at 59.1%.
