Montenegrin Gov't: Serbia interfering in internal affairs

The Montenegrin government said on March 10 that the Serbian government's strategy regarding the Serbian diaspora in the region is "direct interference in Montenegro's internal affairs" and "completely contrary to the core principles of good neighborly relations."

"Strongly protesting this kind of interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign and independent state, the government of Montenegro has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to urgently convey the government's official position on the matter to the Serbian ambassador to Montenegro," a statement said after the government session.
The government also said that the Serbian cabinet's strategy for strengthening relations between the mother state and the Serbs "aims to change the constitutional order of Montenegro."
