The first LAN festival in Macedonia is taking place between Friday and Sunday in "Boris Trajkovski" sports hall, where ICT companies are presenting their products and services. Winners within the cyber national qualifications will be also announced, who will represent Macedonia at the World Cyber Games (WCG) finals in South Korea.

The three-day event includes about 60 conferences and lectures as well as a digital festival where 500 participants will have the chance to be part of the biggest LAN digital festival in the region.

The Macedonian E-Sports Federation organises the WCG qualifications for a seventh year in a row in which 61 teams participate. The best will represent Macedonia at the 11th world championship in South Korea.

The festival is taking place with support provided by the Ministry of Information Society and the City of Skopje.

Opening the manifestation, Minister of Information Society and Public Administration Ivo Ivanovski said the Internet is an open box of global knowledge, connecting the world beyond local borders.

The three-day event is organised by LDM Ideas in partnership with several local IT companies.
