Sali Berisha said that the country's former interior minister, Lulzim Basha, got 78 more votes than the leader of the opposition and the current mayor of the capital, Edi Rama.
Albania's prime minister said Monday that his party's candidate has won the contested mayoral race for the capital Tirana by a slim margin following a decision by the country's election commission to include in a count votes cast in the wrong ballot boxes.
