Serbian and Hungarian Defense Ministers Dragan Sutanovac and Imre Szekeres in Belgrade on March 22 signed an agreement that will, as they put it, add to the current cooperation between the two countries' armed
forces.

Serbian and Hungarian Defense Ministers Dragan Sutanovac and Imre Szekeres in Belgrade on March 22 signed an agreement that will, as they put it, add to the current cooperation between the two countries' armed
forces.

"The agreement provides a framework for further cooperation in cartography, education and the exchange of experiences in peacekeeping missions, as well as for the development of military and business cooperation," Sutanovac told reporters.

Szekeres said the agreement will also enable cooperation in the joint control of the air space and military aid in emergency situations caused by natural disasters. The Hungarian minister added that the reform Serbia has carried out in the military field is the most important step in its EU integration.

The Hungarian minister assured his Serbian counterpart that Budapest will continue to support Serbia on the road to Europe and that Hungary will not reduce the number of its soldiers in KFOR.

Szekeres pointed out that preserving regional stability is of great importance to Hungary, which is why it will remain in Kosovo in the same form and makeup.

Sutanovac said that Hungary fully professionalized its armed forces six years ago and has offered Serbia its experience as assistance in the process of defense system reform.

"The Hungarian Army is organized in the most avant-garde manner of all armed forces in the region. We believe the Serbian Armed Forces will be organized in that way as well and will be able to accelerate Serbia's integration," Sutanovac added.
