Feith called on all political leaders to demonstrate their leadership abilities in reinforcing national interests and ensuring a smooth transfer of presidency.

International Civilian Representative (ICR) Pieter Feith stated on Monday that he welcomes Fatmir Sejdiu's decision to submit a resignation to the position of the Kosovo president, as the Constitutional Court has assessed that Sejdiu has violated the Constitution by holding two functions, that of the president of the state and that of the leader of the Democratic Union of Kosovo.

The official added that he has conferred with Kosovo Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasnici, who agreed to perform the function of the Kosovo president until the new president is elected.

Feith called on all political leaders to demonstrate their leadership abilities in reinforcing national interests and ensuring a smooth transfer of presidency.
