Belgrade Faculty of Economics and Texas A&M University signed an agreement on cooperation in organising the joint MBA programme, with a first generation students enrolling in February 2011.

The agreement was signed by Dean of the Faculty of Economics Marko Backovic and Dean of the Texas A&M University Hal Langford.

Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic, who attended the ceremony at the Faculty of Economics, expressed belief that cooperation between Serbia and the United States in education will not be limited to the exchange of students and teachers, but that it will develop on a much higher level.

The signing was also attended by Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic, National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Dejan Soskic and Belgrade University Rector Branko Kovacevic.

Once they graduate, students will receive two diplomas – an MBA diploma of the Texas A&M University and a Master diploma of the Belgrade Faculty of Economics, said dean of the Faculty of Economics Marko Backovic.

This is the first MBA programme organised in Serbia in line with the curriculum and programmes identical to those in the United States. The entire course will be held in English.

The programme is intended for graduates from various remits already working in the economy on medium and higher managerial positions. It is based on the latest achievements in management, accountancy, economic analysis and statistics in line with the programmes attended by managers in the United States.
