The president of the Serbian government’s Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalovic, said there had been assurances from Croatia that there would be no material nor technical problems in shedding the light on the fate of the missing.
He told daily POLITIKA there were 2,200 open cases of missing persons with Croatia, 1,200 of whom are Serbs. Serbia demands of Croatia to have all the identified locations of graves exhumed and, based on our records, there are 465 graves at 40 locations where Serbs killed in the FLASH and STORM Croatian military operations in 1995 were buried, he said.
There are also 310 Serbs buried in the Zagreb cemetery of Mirogoj to be identified, he said.
