Director of the National Agency for Regional Development Ivica Ezdenci opened at the Belgrade Fair on Thursday the ninth International Entrepreneurship Fair ''Business Base“, which gathers more than 300 entrepreneurs from Serbia and the region, and state institutions focused on small and medium-sized companies.

Ezdenci announced that the Agency will continue to co-finance projects of enterprises in 2011, with the aim of creating a strong and competing export sector by investing in knowledge and innovation.

He added that small and medium-sized enterprises have been hit the hardest by the crisis and are still facing difficulties, but it is encouraging that more than a half have announced new investments in production and equipment, and one third in operation extension.
