The movement "Women authors - the conscience of Serbia " will demand a referendum on Serbia’s NATO membership, President of the Movement Mila Aleckovic-Nikolic announced.

She told a press conference that the request for a referendum does not represent any political party or a party game, but that for the first time, this is requested by victims of the NATO air strike.

The President of the Movement, which advocates the payment of compensation to all who have suffered from cancer from the beginning of the 1999 bombing until today, emphasized that, in case that Serbia joins NATO, the proper compensation would not be possible.

The Movement points that 30,000 people with malignant diseases are registered in Serbia every year, three cases of childhood cancer are registered every week, and the number of cases has increased by 28%.
