Croatia submitted to Serbia’s relevant authorities the updated lists of persons wanted by that country, Malovic said and explained that the updating of lists is necessary so that we would not encounter the same situation in the future and so that the citizens could be guaranteed legal safety.
Serbian Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic and Croatian Minister of Justice Drazen Bosnjakovic reached today in Zagreb an agreement on joint activities in order to resolve all issues in the prosecution of persons accused of war crimes during the 1990s conflicts in a move to achieve solutions that are in the interest of both countries.
Malovic told the Tanjug news agency, after a meeting of the joint commission of the two countries to prepare and exchange lists of persons accused or convicted of war crimes, that an agreement was reached that over the next seven days Serbia delivers to Croatia systematic data on Croatian citizens against whom there are court proceedings underway.
It was also agreed that procedures are renewed against Serbian nationals in Croatia who had been tried in absentia, she said.

The Minister confirmed that it has been agreed to submit to the Croatian judiciary a copy of the case file of Croatian citizen Tihomir Purda who is accused of war crimes.
The cooperation between Serbia and Croatia, which is on a very high level, will be continued, she announced.
We will foster good-neighbourly relations because only such policy can take us to membership in the EU, under whose roof we will live as good neighbours. After the armed conflicts of the 1990s, our peoples need reconciliation and that is why we must solve all problems through agreement for the sake of a joint future, Malovic stated.
