Head of the Serbian government team for negotiations with Pristina Borko Stefanovic confirmed Wednesday to Tanjug that he met Tuesday night in Belgrade with EU mediator Robert Cooper to discuss the preparations for the start of talks between Belgrade and Pristina.

Head of the Serbian government team for negotiations with Pristina Borko Stefanovic confirmed Wednesday to Tanjug that he met Tuesday night in Belgrade with EU mediator Robert Cooper to discuss the preparations for the start of talks between Belgrade and Pristina.

"This is a regular meeting in preparation for the talks," Stefanovic noted and added that the purpose of Cooper's visit is to settle on an agenda and a starting date with the two sides.

He specified he would be able to reveal more details and an exact date when talks will start early next week.

After the visit to Belgrade, Cooper met Wednesday in Pristina with Edita Tahiri, who will head Kosovo's delegation.

According to a release issued by the Kosovo government, Cooper said that the preparations with both sides are going well, and stressed their importance for furthering the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

This was Cooper's second visit to Pristina in the last week.

Electronic media in Pristina report that expected topics in the dialogue include customs checkpoints in the north, the Constitutional Court, missing persons and trade issues between Kosovo and Serbia.

Spokeswoman for the EU High Representative Maja Kocijancic told Tanjug earlier that the talks will include topics related to improving daily life, such as the cadastre, air transport and car license plates.
