Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Tachi has expressed expectation that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will continue since it is very important, adding that he believes that the best solution for north Kosovo is the Ahtisaari Plan.

The best solution for north Kosovo is the Ahtisaari Plan. This is a very generous and creative solution which offers full protection to minorities. These minority rights are in force in Serb-populated parts of Kosovo, Tachi said in an interview for the Vienna-based daily Kurier.

Speaking about the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Tachi said that he is quite optimistic that the talks will continue. We have resolved many technical issues, and the next topics to be tabled are regional cooperation and cooperation in the areas of energy and telecommunications, he added.

As for the international missions, Tachi said that KFOR is very important for security and stability, adding that EULEX, the EU and the U.S. support Kosovo in establishing democratic institutions in north Kosovo.

He said that Kosovo is implementing all criteria and standards of the EU, and that the visa liberalization talks will kick off in the coming days. The abolishment of the visa regime and free traveling will make us equal with the Europeans. I am certain that the remaining five EU states will recognize Kosovo soon, Tachi said.
