Members of the KFOR Liaison and Monitoring Team (LMT) passed a little after 9 am on Thursday through the barricade in the village of Zupce, Zubin Potok municipality, where one lane was opened this morning for the passage of KFOR troops, as was envisaged by the decision of municipal presidents from northern Kosovo.

LMT members passed through the barricade at 9.10 am so as to reach the Brnjak administrative crossings and check passage.

Zubin potok municipal president Slavisa Ristic told the Swiss KFOR that, in accordance with the announcements, one lane was made available for KFOR to supply its units and perform exchange of soldiers.

"I hope KFOR will respect our decision and not abuse it. I repeat that EULEX will not be able to pass through until they reach an agreement with Belgrade, that is until misunderstandings are cleared up," Ristic said, adding that this means EULEX should stop transporting Kosovo customs officers to the administrative crossings.

Some time before 9am on Thursday, the citizens opened one lane for the passage of KFOR troops, by moving the tree trunks to one side of the road.
