U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon told the Pristina RTV 21 television that there will be no withdrawing of U.S. troops from Kosovo, or their reduction.
NATO and the U.S. will remain in Kosovo until they achieve their goal, Gordon said.
Given the situation in Kosovo, particularly its north, NATO's force level will remain the same with about 7.000 soldiers, almost 1,000 of them being from the U.S., he added.
Neither a withdrawal nor a reduction of American troops in Kosovo are on the U.S. agenda, Gordon underlined.
