Britain’s Defence Secretary Liam Fox has resigned after allegations over his working relationship with friend and self-proclaimed adviser Adam Werritty, Reuters reported on Friday.

Fox’s former flat-mate, Werritty is said to have joined Fox on an array of foreign visits despite having no official role.

He allegedly handed out business cards suggesting he was an adviser to Fox.

Prime Minister David Cameron has, meanwhile, initiated an inquiry into the matter, the results of which are due to be made public in the coming days. (
