Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz on April 27 visited Srebrenica and the Potocari Memorial Center, where the identified remains of victims of the massacre in the eastern Bosnian town are buried.
Brammertz paid his respects to the murdered inhabitants of Srebrenica and then met with the members of survivors' associations.
Speaking in Potocari, Brammertz said: "As a human, I feel sad and uncomfortable," reiterating that some of the perpetrators of the genocide have been tried and convicted by the Hague tribunal.
Representatives of the Mothers of Srebrenica association asked the prosecutor to prove the whole truth about Srebrenica and arrest the person indicted for the crime, Ratko Mladic.
They also asked him to launch an investigation against those who covered up and destroyed the main evidence material and documents on the genocide in Srebrenica.
Brammertz remained in Srebrenica until late afternoon and met with municipal officials.
The prosecutor arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 26 and met with High Representative Valentin Inzko and members of the Bosnian Presidency.
Brammertz paid this visit to Bosnia before putting together his regular six-month report to the U.N. Security Council.
