Six companies from Germany and a representative of the German Economy Ministry will review in the next three days the possibilities for investments in photovoltaic power plants and solar collectors in FYRMacedonia.

German companies require transparency and efficient approval of projects, mid-term and long-term development perspective for projects of solar and photovoltaic energy, as well as support through favorable tariffs.

Participants at the German-Macedonian Conference on Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal Energy, held in Skopje on Tuesday, said Macedonia has an annual average of 270 sunny days, which represents an excellent opportunity for electricity production from photovoltaic collectors and hot water from solar collectors.

Germany, which is a leading country in the field of green technology, can transfer its knowledge to Macedonia and Southeast European countries aspiring towards EU accession.

The construction of photovoltaic power plants and solar collectors in Macedonia would be carried out in cooperation with Macedonian companies, which should provide all required documents and land ownership certificates.
