Ohrid has been chosen as the city having the most cordial relations with its guests in 2009 in a competition with a number of tourist destinations from Southeastern Europe.

The international jury of SACEN International will present the "Golden Cup of Hospitality" award to the municipality of Ohird at a manifestation entitled "Golden Heart of Tourism in SEE", which will be held Wednesday in Belgrade.

Ohrid mayor Aleksandar Petreski said the award was an additional recognition of the qualities owned by Macedonia's main tourist center and an advertisement of the city in light of the coming tourist season.

A total of 18 awards in the field of tourism will be presented at the ceremony in Belgrade, in addition to the hospitality award to Ohrid.
