Abundant rain threaten with floods in several Montenegrin cities

Due to abundant precipitations, the situation in the area of Podgorica municipality worsened in last few hours, and numerous local roads are impassable, and many objects in villages in Zeta principality are flooded.

Due to abundant precipitations, the situation in the area of Podgorica municipality worsened in last few hours, and numerous local roads are impassable, and many objects in villages in Zeta principality are flooded, Montenegrin Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Administration reported.

Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Administration Ivan Brajovic visited cities in northern Montenegro to personally see the situation in the endangered areas of Berane, Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac and Kolasin.

Podgorica-based media report that, in the area of Podgorica, main road connecting Mareza and Niksic is partially flood, and the travel of passenger vehicles is not recommended.

Small river called Savin potok is endangering houses in villages Masline, Murtovina, Zlatica and Doljani, while the road between Podgorica and Kuci is partially under water.

In Dinosi and in Tuzi there is a possibility the water will enter houses, as it has covered most yards.
